The following general rules for VAIGA Agri hack 23 need to be followed:


  • Participating in Agri Hack 2023 is restricted through prior registration as teams. For registering your participation, visit 
  • Registering for the hackathon is entirely free of charge.
  • Registrations for Agri Hack and submission of solutions will end by 11.59 PM on 15th February 2023.


  • Agri Hack 2023 is organized in three categories: College Category, Startup Category and Open Category. The First category is for Students under Higher Education (including Diploma students). Any startups from Kerala can participate in the second Category namely Startups Category. Professionals, Farmers, and all other public come under the third category of Agri Hack 2023 namely Open Category. 

Rules for the Team

  • A team can register their participation under any one category as per their eligibility. 
  • A team should consist of a minimum of 3 and maximum of 5 members including the Team Leader.
  • The team leaders cannot be changed at any phase of participation.
  • Team members can be changed before the time of registration ends.
  • Team names cannot be changed.
  • The members of each team are to ensure that the personal information provided upon online registration is true and accurate.
  • The teams must unconditionally accept all decisions made by Hackathon organizers with regard to event organization.
  • Problem statements will be published in the Agri Hack official Website.
  • Teams must select the problem statements listed and submit appropriate solutions in the prescribed format.
  • The teams can seek support from experts, Agriculture offices etc. gathering necessary inputs towards building solutions. 
  • The solutions should be Eco Friendly, using Green Technologies leading towards sustainable development.
  • An expert panel of jury will evaluate the submitted solutions and short list top scored 30 teams from the three categories. Shortlisted teams will be allowed to participate in the Grand Finale only after completing the confirmation procedure. 
  • Teams which perform well in the first rounds of hackathon will be selected for the final round namely Power Judgement and those teams should present their ideas before the jury panel and chief guests. Winning teams will be selected based on their performance in this round too.
  • Mentors will be assigned to Teams for proper guidance and support during the Hackathon.
  • The venue of VAIGA Agri Hack 23, will be at College of Agriculture, Vellayani, Thiruvananthapuram.
  • The Hackathon will begin at 8:00am on 25th February 2023 and will come to a close at 1:00 pm on February 27, 2023. The winners will be awarded with cash prizes, medals and certificates.
  • Teams should report at the venue one day prior to the hackathon date (on 24.02.2023), before 5 PM.
  • Prizes for winning teams will be awarded Rs. 50,000, Rs. 25,000, Rs. 15,000 respectively.
  • All Participants are required to bring any of their government-approved IDs (Aadhaar, Driving License, Passport, etc.) at the hackathon venue. The college students should bring the letter of authorization from the Head of institution and their College ID cards along with Government approved ID cards mentioned above.
  • Participants should bring their own laptops and other required devices & components. Power supply and internet connection will be provided at the venue. 
  • Organizers will provide food and basic accommodation facilities. Participants are requested to bring light bedding facilities of their own. 
  • Participants will get an opportunity to grab various support from the Department of Agriculture Development and Farmers Welfare purely based on their innovation models
